REMINDER: KINDS OF WUDOO (ABLUTION)
THIS IS TO REMIND OUR MUSLIM BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Ablution(wudoo) is the preparation and purification before offering a prayer(Salaat). A prayer offered in a state of non-ablution is invalid.

Ablution is performed using clean water upon certain body parts as prescribed.
There are three kinds of ablution:
1. The Minor Ablution (normal Wudoo)
2. The Major Ablution (Ghusul)
3. The Dry Ablution (Tayammum).

The Minor Ablution (Wudoo) is the most basic method of purification before praying. The Major Ablution (Ghusul) becomes Fard (compulsory) in any sexual activity that results in release of a fluid. For women, at the end of menstruation or postnatal bleeding.

On certain occasions such as Before going for Jumuat (Friday Prayer). Before going for Eid Prayers. Before undertaking Umrah or Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah) etc.

In circumstances when water is scarce, tayammum can be performed using clean sand, dust or anything containing these, e.g. wall or stone. But when water is available Tayammum is invalid.

Tayammum can be performed even if you are in a state of impurity or Janaba but can't find water or too cold to be used for bathing.
