VIRTUES OF THE FIRST 10 DAYS OF ZULHIJJAH

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “No good deed is better than what is done on these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” Some companions of the Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the cause of Allah?” 
The Prophet said, “Not even jihad in the cause of Allah, except in the case of a man who goes out with his life and wealth in danger and returns with nothing" 
(Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 2, Book 15, Hadith 86 {926})
So the Muslim should start these days with sincere repentance to Allaah, then he should do a lot of righteous deeds in general, then he should pay attention to doing the following deeds:
1. Fasting 
It is Sunnah for the Muslim to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) encouraged us to do righteous 
deeds in the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, and fasting is one of the best of deeds, which Allaah has chosen for Himself as it says in the hadeeth qudsi: “Allaah says: ‘All the deeds of the son of Adam are for him, except fasting, which is for Me and I shall reward for it.” Narrated by al- 
Bukhaari, 1805.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah. It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and 
blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays. Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawood; classed as saheeh by 
al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood , 2/462.
2. Reciting tahmeed, tahleel and takbeer 
It is Sunnah to recite takbeer (saying 
Allaahu akbar (Allaah is most great)), 
tahmeed (saying al-hamdu Lillah (praise be to Allaah)), tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah (There is no god but Allaah)) and tasbeeh (saying Subhaan-Allaah (Glory be to Allaah)). 
It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn 
‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are no days that are greater before Allaah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed during them.” Narrated by Ahmad, 7/224; 
its isnaad was classed as saheeh by 
Ahmad Shaakir. 
The takbeer is as follows: 
Allaah akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha ill- 
Allaah, Allaahu akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd 
Translation: (Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god but Allaah; Allaah is 
Most Great and to Allaah be praise). 
And there are other versions.
3. Doing Hajj and ‘Umrah 
One of the greatest deeds that can be done during these ten days is Hajj to the sacred House of Allaah. Whoever Allaah helps to go on Hajj to His House and do the rituals in the required manner will in sha Allaah 
be included in the words of the 
Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “An accepted Hajj brings no less a reward than Paradise.”
4. Udhiyah (sacrifice) 
One of the righteous deeds that bring a person closer to Allaah in these ten days is to slaughter the sacrifice and to look for a good, fat animal and to spend money on it for the sake of Allaah. 
Let us hasten to make the most of these great days, before the negligent regrets what he did, and before he asks to go back and receives no response.
5. READING THE QUR’AN 
we should try to schedule it in all our activities because prophet Muhammad PBOH   said "fasting & Qur’an will intercede in the day of kiyamah" [AHMAD]
6. GOOD SPEECH 
Prophet Muhammad  PBOH said "every good /nice speech there ‘s reward for it and it’s regarded as sadaqah" [BHAIHAQY]
7. ATTENDING MAJALIS/TAFASEERS/LECTURES IN THE MASJID 
The prophet PBUH said "Whoever goes to masjid not desiring except to learn out to teach what is good has the reward of pilgrimage/hajj (Bhaihagy)
8. Be dutiful to your parents, because one of the major sin 
after shirk is being undutiful to the parents.
9. In these days, visit patients, old relatives
10. Feed the poor and the needy 
12. Do Dawah and guide the Non Muslim brothers to truth, even a verse.
CONCLUSIVELY: Verily all the above listed deeds are what an ideal must suppose to do in these golden ten days and also beyond it so as to be among those that Allah will save from the hellfire to the jannah. 
Brothers and sisters why don’t you use this time in doing good deed that will help you here and there after (i.e. fid-dunya wal’akhira)

Allah is good and perfect

A King had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him; My king, do not be discouraged because everything Allah does is perfect, no mistakes.
One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said; if Allah was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger. The servant replied, 'despite all these things, I can only tell you that Allah is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong'. Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant.While being taken to prison, he told the king again, Allah is Good & Perfect.
Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn't have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not "complete" to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, Allah was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go. But I have a question; If Allah is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison? His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger.
Everything Allah does is perfect, He is never wrong. Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that everything happens for a purpose.
Allah knows why you are reading this message today, please bless someone with it by sharing it. Allah is good and perfect!!

DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR DEEN OVER DUNYA

One day of the many days, there was a man travelling with his Wife and Kids. On the way they met a person standing on the roadside. He asked: "Who are you?"
The man said: "I am the Money"
So the man asked his wife and kids: "Should we ask him to ride with us?"
They all said together: "Yes, of course! Because 'the Money' can help us do anything we want and get anything we wished. 
So they took 'the Money' to ride with them. The vehicle continued on its way until they met another person on the road. The Father asked: "Who are you?"
He said: "I am the high position and power"
So the father asked his wife and kids: "Should we ask him to ride with us?"
They all answered in one voice: "Yes, of course! Because with the high position and power we have the ability to do anything we want and own anything we wished." So they took the high position and power with them, and the vehicle continued to finish its trip.
In this way, they met with many people who promised pleasures and desires of life, UNTIL... They met one strange person... The Father asked: "Who are you?"
He said: "I am the Deen (Islam)."
So the father, the wife, and the kids; all of them said in one voice: "No, no, this isn't the time, we desire the pleasures of life and the Dunyah. ‘The Deen' will prevent us and then stop us from all pleasurable things and it will take control of our lives. We will be worn-out from being loyal to it and its teachings. The Halaal and the Haraam, and this thing ‘prayer’ and that thing ‘Hijaab’, and the fasting, and; and; and; and; and; etc, It will be a burden for us!!!"
"But certainly, we will return to pick you up after we enjoy life and everything else in it."
So sadly, they left him behind and the vehicle continued on its trip.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere something appeared in the middle of the road. It was a check-point with the sign saying STOP!!! They found a man gesturing for the father to get out of the vehicle. The man said to the father: "Your trip has ended. Come with me."
The father was shocked with fear and did not say a word. The man said to him: "I am searching for ‘the DEEN’. Is he with you?"
The father answered: "No, I left him not too far back. If you could allow me to go back, I will get him for you."
The man said: "You do not have the ability to go back now. Your trip has ended and there is no returning... going back is impossible."
"But I have ‘The Money’; ‘the high position and power’; My Wife; My Kids; and; and; and; and; and; and; so on."
The man said to him: "Neither will they benefit you now nor will they protect you when you come in front of Allah. Not even one bit! You have left all of them behind. The only one that will help you now is 'The Deen' you know, the one who YOU left behind on the road."
The father asked: "And who are you exactly?"
He replied: "I AM 'the DEATH' - The one who you were heedless of - and the one who you did not think of on your trip!!!"
The father turned around and looked at his vehicle and found his wife taking control and continuing the trip along with all of the passengers besides him. And none of them had stayed behind with him. He was left all alone.
LET US NOT COMPROMISE OUR DEEN FOR THE WORLDLY THINGS. ONLY OUR DEEN WILL ACCOMPANY US BEYOND THE GRAVE. May ALLAH give us the ability to always do the things that will help us on the Day of Reckoning. Aameen

Caution: You must die

“Every soul shall taste death.” Qur’an 29:57
“Wheresoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high!”[ Qur’an 4:78]
Death is not a disaster, but simply a passing from this world onto the next. It should make us reflect and ponder about the purpose of life, and what will become of us after death.
Allah  has informed us in the Qur’an that He has created us with the purpose of worshipping Him alone and that He made this life a test to see who will fulfil that purpose:
“And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” Qur’an 51:56
Allah has also informed us the purpose behind the creation of death and life:
“Allah is He who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed" Qur’an 67:2
Conclusion 
“O man! What has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion. In whatever form He willed, He put you together. No! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds on the Day of Judgement).”[Qur’an 82:6-9]
“Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, and indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire” Qur’an 82:13-14
Death is inevitable. Our purpose in life is to worship Allah alone, perform acts of righteousness and to avoid all that is forbidden. Our fate is being decided on the basis of our present actions, so we can either make use of our opportunities on Earth to ensure an eternal place for ourselves in Paradise, or we can waste them and condemn ourselves to eternal punishment in Hell.

JIHAAD AGAINST THE SOUL FIRST, NOT INNOCENT PEOPLE

The most important battle a Muslim needs to fight is the battle within himself against sinful desires (JIHAAD an-nafs). This is a struggle, a jihaad in the way of ALLAH, in which all of us need to participate.
ALLAH tells us the sinful desires within ourselves must be controlled and submitted to HIS will, and whoever does so will enter Paradise. ALLAH says: 
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَىٰ 
As for him who fears to stand before his Lord and he restrained himself from his desires, then Paradise will be his refuge. 
Surat An-Naziat 79:40.
For this reason, the Prophet declared that the true mujahid who wages jihad in the cause of Allah is the one who wages jihad against himself. Fadalah ibn Ubaid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 
الْمُجَاهِدُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ نَفْسَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ 
The one who strives in the way of Allah the Exalted is he who strives against his soul. Musnad Ahmad 23445, Grade: Sahih.
Sheikh Al-Mubarakpuri comments on this tradition, saying: 
This means he conquers evil inclinations within himself and performs acts of obedience pleasing to Allah and he avoids acts of disobedience. This jihad is the foundation for all other types of jihad, for indeed, if he does not perform this struggle then he cannot struggle against external enemies. Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1621.
ALLAH tells us in several verses that those who purify their hearts from spiritual diseases will enter Paradise. In fact, no one will succeed in the Hereafter unless they approach ALLAH with a clean heart. ALLAH says: 
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا 
He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surat Ash-Shams 91:9-10. And ALLAH says: 
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ 
It will be a day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in one who comes to ALLAH with a pure heart. Surat Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.
This jihad to purify the soul involves struggling against greed for worldly pleasures, hypocrisy and insincerity, hatred and envy, arrogance and pride, vanity and other evil traits which Satan uses to lead us into destruction. Muslims without a doubt needs to make the struggle against these evils their top priority.
Indeed, some of the earliest and most pious scholars among the righteous predecessors (salaf as-salih) considered the jihad against the soul to be one of the greatest and most important jihad.
Abu Na’eem reported: Ibrahim ibn Adham, may ALLAH have mercy on him, said: 
أَشَدُّ الْجِهَادِ جِهَادُ الْهَوَى مَنْ مَنَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا فَقَدِ اسْتَرَاحَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَبَلَائِهَا وَكَانَ مَحْفُوظًا وَمُعَافًى مِنْ أَذَاهَا 
The most difficult jihad is the struggle against desire. Whoever can prevent himself from his desires will be relieved from the world and its trials, and he will be protected and safe from its harms. 
Hilyat Al-Awliya 18.
Great scholars of Islam wrote pages and pages about the jihad against the soul and methods of purifying the heart, such as Ibn Al-Jawzi, Ibn Al-Qayyim, and Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali. Scholars often referred to this spiritual struggle as the “greater jihad,” because it takes precedence over any outward physical struggle we endure.
Ibn Taymiyyah said: 
جِهَادُ النَّفْسِ وَالْهَوَى أَصْلُ جِهَادِ الْكُفَّارِ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى جِهَادِهِمْ حَتَّى يُجَاهِدَ نَفْسَهُ وَهَوَاهُ أَوَّلًا حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إلَيْهِمْ 
Jihad of the soul against desire is the foundation of jihad against unbelievers and hypocrites, for a Muslim cannot wage jihad against them unless he has first waged jihad against his soul and desires before he goes out against them.

Furthermore, armed jihad against an external enemy has conditions and limits and not every Muslim needs to perform it, yet the internal jihad against the soul must be practiced by everyone. A just armed jihad cannot be waged by people whose hearts and minds are defiled by hatred and who are ignorant of Islam’s moral teachings. As such, Allah has commanded the believers to appoint scholars to teach those who perform military service so as to prevent them from transgressing on the battlefield. Allah says: 
It is not for the believers to go forth in battle all at once. For there should separate from every division of them a group to obtain understanding in the religion and to warn their people when they return to them that they might be cautious. Surat At-Tawba 9:122
Therefore, the jihad against the soul must be practiced by all of us on a daily basis. We must struggle to purify our hearts from all spiritual diseases that lead to transgression and sin, for only in this way can our external struggles be made just and upright. Please note that we cannot fight any non Muslims unless to defend ourselves from their attack or stopping us from our worship. Success comes from Allah, and Allah knows best.

First question on the Day of qiyamah

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The first of his deeds for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his Salaah (prayer). If it is good then he will succeed and prosper, and if it is bad then he will be a loser and doomed. If anything is lacking from his obligatory prayers, the Lord will say, ‘Look and see whether my slave has any voluntary (prayers), and use that to make up whatever is missing from his obligatory prayers.’ Then all of his deeds will be reviewed in like manner.” [Sunan an-Nasaa’i]
The first of his duties towards Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) for which a person will be brought to account will be his Salaah (prayers). So guard your prayers. 
Respect and honour your prayers as they will be the source of your respect and honour on the Day of Judgement. Leave whatever you are doing as soon as their time commences as you would leave what you are doing on the arrival of an honoured guest and get up to pray beautifully and dutifully. 
As evidence of the esteem in which you hold prayers, begin to get ready for them before their time commences, in the way that you prepare beforehand to receive your most important guests.

CHARMS, TALISMANS & AMULETS IN ISLAM

The issue of wearing amulets and good luck charms is important to understand for a Muslim to implement the teachings of monotheism (tawheed) in his or her daily life. Many cultures have practices in which they wear accessories or seek blessings from objects, believing that these objects can ward off evil. Such practices contradict the correct understanding of the attributes of ALLAH, as only ALLAH has the absolute power to bring benefit and protect from harm. ALLAH says: 
قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ 
Say: I have no power at all for myself to harm or benefit except as ALLAH wills. Surat Yunus 10:49.
And ALLAH says again: 
وَلَا تَدْعُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِن فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِّنَ الظَّالِمِينَ 
Do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did so then you would be wrongdoers. Surat Yunus 10:106.
A believer should only place their hope and trust in ALLAH to direct destiny towards a good end. People who depend upon amulets, necklaces, trinkets, charms, spells, and other things have placed their ultimate hope and trust in them and they have ascribed to them attributes which belong to ALLAH alone, thereby committing an act of idolatry.
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud may Allah be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 
إِنَّ الرُّقَى وَالتَّمَائِمَ وَالتِّوَلَةَ شِرْكٌ 
Verily, spells, amulets, and charms are acts of idolatry. Sunan Abu Dawud 3883.
The Prophet has strongly forbidden us from using amulets and charms as a means of seeking blessings, warning that those who do so expose themselves to punishment from ALLAH.
The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 
مَنْ تَعَلَّقَ تَمِيمَةً فَلَا أَتَمَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَمَنْ تَعَلَّقَ وَدَعَةً فَلَا وَدَعَ اللَّهُ لَهُ 
Whoever hangs an amulet around his neck, then ALLAH will not fulfill his wishes. Whoever hangs a seashell as a charm, then ALLAH will not leave him without penalty. Musnad Ahmad 16951.
The Arabs in the time of the Prophet would sometimes seek healing by resorting to spells, amulets, and charms. The Prophet told us that such practices never help cure disease but rather will lead to great loss and regret in the Hereafter.
Imran ibn Hussein reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw a man wearing a brass ring, so he asked what it was. The man said, “It is protection from my arthritis.” The Prophet said: 
أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكَ إِلَّا وَهْنًا انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مِتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَا أَفْلَحْتَ أَبَدًا 
Remove it, for it will only increase your arthritis and if you were to die wearing it you would never be successful. Musnad Ahmad 19498.
As for amulets which do not contain anything but verses from the Quran or the names and attributes of ALLAH the Exalted, there are different opinions. The Hanafi, Maliki, and Shafi’ee scholars as well as a narration from Ahmad incline towards the permissibility of that. It is the apparent meaning of what is narrated from our mother Aisha may Allah be pleased with her and is likewise the opinion of Abdullah ibn Amr. They interpreted the narration that spells, amulets, and charms are idolatry to mean only amulets within which is idolatry. Another narration from Ahmad forbids amulets in general and it is the apparent meaning of the statement of Hudhaifa, Uqbah ibn Amir, and Ibn Hakeem as well as Ibn Mas’ud, Ibn Abbas, and a group of the companion’s students. Mawsu’at Al-Fiqhiyyah 15/23.
For those who wear Quranic amulets, it should be understood that the blessings in them do not come from the object itself. Rather, the blessings are in remembering and reciting the words of ALLAH. There is no harm if the verses of the Quran are displayed in order to remember and recite them often, but they should not be misunderstood as being blessed simply by their presence.
Nevertheless, many Muslims in our time do not appreciate this importance nuance and they have used Quranic amulets in the wrong manner. It should be noted that the use of Quranic amulets is not a confirmed prophetic tradition nor is it recommended, rather it is only permissible according to some scholars, and the prophetic narrations which prohibit amulets make no clear distinction in this regard. For this reason, it may be better and safer to avoid the use of Quranic amulets altogether.

Narrated by Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday (like the bath of Janaba) and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutba."

ENDURING GRIEF AND HARDSHIP IN LIFE AS MUSLIMS

As human beings, I am sure each and every one of us has, at some point in our life, been visited by grief, tragedy, or tremendous loss, emotionally or materially. It may have been a serious illness or accident or death of a loved one, or we may have failed an important examination, or we may have seen a business or professional career which has grown and prospered over many years, finally come to disaster. Losing to marry our loved ones etc.
To those who have suffered such a loss, their feelings are hard to describe adequately. There is a sense of utter despair, emptiness etc. It can become so intense that one actually questions the whole purpose and meaning of life. 
However, many people are unable to come to terms with sudden catastrophic loss, and therefore, we often hear of someone being so overcome with grief that they have taken leave of their senses, they suffer prolonged and repeated bouts of deep depression, a complete change of personality. In extreme cases, some victims of hardship lose all inclination for life at all and they commit suicide astaqfirulLah. I write many at times on this topic or similar bcs many Muslims today lose faith in Allah to the extend of abandoning Islam due to hardship in life and a lady once told me what's the point of worshiping Allah in this suffering of mine astaqfirullah just bcs she has been divorced but failed to question her attitude in her marriage. 
How should we Muslims deal with intense personal suffering and grief? How should we comfort a friend or relative who is in distress? Alhamdulillah we have a source of guidance in Quran and Teachings of our beloved Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam. In Súra Al-Baqara, verses 155-157, Allah subhanallahu ta’ala reminds us: 
"Verily, Allah will test you with something of fear and hunger; some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil) but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Who say when afflicted with calamity: 
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhir raji-oon" 
"To Allah we belong and to Him is our return."
They are those on whom (descend) blessings from Allah and Mercy and they are the ones that receive guidance."
From these verses we can see that in a Muslim’s life, hardship and suffering should never come as a complete surprise. In fact, Allah promises us some hardship as a certainty, somewhere during our lifetime. It is a test of our eeman, our faith in Allah, and we should not despair, because there are lessons to be learnt from every situation, especially from misfortune. To a true Believer, good fortune and misfortune are merely two sides of the same coin of life. Although we do not welcome hardship, we know that even in the noonday of life, we live in the shadow of death; in the peak of our prosperity, we are just a few short paces away from poverty and in the prime of our good health, illness lurks in the shadows nearby.
In a Hadith narrated by Abu ‘Abbas ‘Abdullah, says: 
"Remember Allah in times of ease, and He will recognise you in times of distress. What hit you could not have missed you, what missed you could not have hit you. Remember that victory comes with patience.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, 
"verily in the Messenger of Allah we have the finest of examples"
Even he, Prophet Muhammad sallal-láhu ‘alayhi wasallam also endured much pain and hardship, especially in his youth, with extraordinary patience and perseverance. He was an orphan, cared for by milk-mothers, grandfather, and uncles. During the early years of his mission, he was jeered, taunted, threatened, reviled and persecuted by his own tribe, the Quraish of Makka. Many of his followers were killed for their acceptance of Islam. In the 63 years of our prophet Muhammad’s life, he experienced every human hardship from loss of father, mother and grandfather to loss of dear friends, personal wealth and rejection from his tribe. Because of his unswerving devotion to Allah, he was granted success in this world, and in the hereafter. History has witnessed his achievements. …
Whatever personal grief, suffering or loss we might encounter in our lifetime, it would be appropriate to remember Suuratul Doha quran 93:1-11. This Sura addresses Nabi Muhammad directly, but it also applies to all Muslims indirectly, in all times and all circumstances. Let's always say Alhamdulillah Alaa kulli khaal that's Praise be to ALLAH in all situations in life.
We ask ALLAH to protect our eemaan for better for worse till Jannat. AMIN

Means of attaining barakah in our homes

Barakah a word we hear often but sadly we have lost it in our homes, so we find no barakah in time, nor in sustenance or our wealth and children, so what then is the key to barakah. 
There are 8 🔑 keys to attain barakah:
1-Tilaawah of the Quraan 
‎قال الله تعالى 
‎(وهذا كتاب أنزلناه مبارك) 
Allah has made the Quraan al Kareem a source of barakah, if we ponder over its meaning and we live our lives according to its teachings . And for this reason our beloved messenger ﷺ said about the home in which Quraan is recited. 
‎ (تسكنه الملائكة تهجره الشياطين ويتسع بأهله ويكثر خيره). 
The malaaikahs live in it, the shaithaans flee from it and it expands for the family and goodness increases in it.
2. Saying bismillah and making the zikr of Allah 
‎-البسملة وذكر الله 
‎قال رسول الله صل الله عليه وسلم 
‎إذا دخل الرجل بيته فذكر الله تعالى عند دخوله وعند طعامه، قال الشيطان لأصحابه لا مبيت ولا عشاء 
The messenger ﷺ said: if a man enters his home and he mentioned Allahs name upon his entrance and before he ate, Shaithaan says to his companions, there is no home nor food for you here. 
‎3-الصدقة*: Sadaqah 
From the means of attaining barakah in a home is to give sadaqah, especially secret sadaqah because it extinguishes the anger of Allah. 
‎4-صلة الرحم: 
Maintaining family ties 
And indeed our messenger ﷺ has informed us that maintaining family ties, and observing good character..... 
increases our sustenance and our lives 
5-Waking up early to search for your rizq 
‎جاء في الحديث  (بورك لأمتي في بكورها) أي الخروج لطلب الرزق باكرا" . 
It is mentioned in a Hadith 
(Give glad tidings to my ummah in the early parts of the day) 
Which means - those who leave their homes to search for their rizq in the early parts of the morning. 
‎6-إقامة الصلاة: 
Establishing salaah on its fixed time is a means of attaining barakah 
‎، قال الله تعالى 
‎«وأمر أهلك بالصلاة واصطبر عليها لا نسألك رزقا "نحن نرزقك والعاقبة للتقوى» 
And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them 
[i.e. the Salat (prayers)]. 
We ask not of you a provision , We provide for you. And the good end (i.e. Paradise) is for the Muttaqun .
‎7-التوكل على الله حق توكله: 
Putting our trust in Allah as he should be trusted 
As is mentioned in a Hadith 
‎«لو توكلتم على الله حق توكله لرزقكم كما يرزق الطير، تغدو خماصا"وتروح بطانا"» 
If you trust Allah as he should be trusted , he will sustain you as he provides for the birds, they leave hungry in search for food and return full. 
‎8-الاستغفار: 
Seeking Repentance & Making lots of Istighfaar. 
‎والاستغفار بحد ذاته مصدر للرزق ، 
And Istighfaar on its own is a means of Increasing our sustenance
‎كما قال نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم 
Just as Nabi ﷺ said: 
Whoever makes Istighfaar Allah will make a way out of every difficult situation for him, 
And he will ease his sorrow, and he will sustain him from where he perceives not. 
‎«من لزم الاستغفار جعل الله له من كل ضيق مخرجا " ومن كل هم فرجا" ورزقه من حيث لا يحتسب»
‎متعنا الله وإيّاكم بالبركة والرضا

LET'S BE AWARE OF PROCRASTINATION

LET'S BE AWARE OF PROCRASTINATION, FOR IT IS ONE OF DEVIL’S STRONGEST WEAPON BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
Many Jews and Christians at the time of the Prophet contemplated joining Islam, but sheitan convinced them to procrastinate saying: “Do not rush, look more into the issue.” Until they die as non-Muslims. Some Muslims also delay doing good acts with hope of more time.
Satan makes those seeking righteousness feel lazy, and he causes those who are serious to procrastinate. He convinces a jurist to rest instead of going over his lesson again. And convinces a worshipper who had woken up to pray at night that he still has a lot of time. Satan tries to make people lazy procrastinators, and to make them have hope of a long life. 
A disciplined person must take advantage of time, and never procrastinate. That which is feared can never be trusted, and that which passes can never be brought back again. The main reason for doing less good and more evil is relying on the hope of a long life, this is because a person continues to procrastinate performing good deeds and refraining from evil deeds.
Allah, the Exalted, says: "So hasten towards all that is good". (2:148).
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. A man would be a believer in the morning and turn to disbelief in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and turn disbeliever in the morning, and would sell his Faith for worldly goods.''[by Imam Muslim]. Astaghfirullah. 
This Hadith tells that the Day of Resurrection will be preceded by a long chain of calamities. Because of the rush of these calamities, religion and Faith will loose their value in people. There will be a race for wealth, so much so that people would not hesitate to compromise their religion and Faith to acquire wealth. People will rapidly change their faces. This is what is actually happening now isn't it?. In this situation true believers are exhorted to adhere strictly to Faith and perform noble deeds without delay. 
May ALLAH keep guiding our eemaan till He favour us as part of the successful ones to enter His Paradise. AMIN

Don't walk with one shoe

Walking with only one shoe, if the other one is damaged is prohibited in Islam
If someone walking with shoes on, and breaks or tears one of them, he should not walk with only one shoe, while his other foot is bare. He should either repair the broken shoe and wear both, or take off both and walk barefoot. Walking barefoot at times is sunnah. The evidence for this is the narration of Abu Hurayrah that: “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘One should not walk with only one shoe. One should either wear both or take both of them off.’” (Saheeh al-Bukhaari, no. 5518)
The scholars have said a number of things about the reason for doing so. The most authentic of these is what has been described by Ibn al-‘Arabi and others that “It is the way of walking of the Shaytaan”.(Fath al-Baari, 10/310) The evidence for this is the report of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): “The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Indeed the Shaytaan walks in one shoe.’” (al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, no. 348)

 ALLAH’s Messenger [S.A.W.] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and GLORIOUS, said: 
"MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. 
MY servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should direct you to the right path. 
O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. 
O MY servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I should clothe you. 
O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from ME, so that I should grant you pardon. 
O MY servants, you can neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. 
O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T] conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. 
O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to MY Power. 
O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. 
MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for then, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should Praise ALLAH and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself.

The one who cuts his hair should make it all the same length.

The one who cuts his hair on the sides of his head more than the middle comes under the heading of qaza’, which is forbidden.
Al-Bukhaari (5921) and Muslim (2120) narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’. Naafi’ (one of the narrators of the hadeeth) said, explaining qaza’: Shaving part of a boy’s head and leaving part. 
Al-Nasaa’i (5048) and Abu Dawood (4195) narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) saw a boy part of whose head had been shaved and part of it left. He told them not to do that and said: “Shave all of it or leave all of it.” Al-Albaani classed it as saheeh in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i. 
That includes cutting some of the hair short and leaving some. 
It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (5/175):
What is the ruling on leaving some of the hair longer than the rest?
Answer: Abu Dawood narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’ and said: “Shave all of it or leave all of it.” 
it says in Sharh al-Iqnaa’: Qaza’ includes shaving some places on the sides of the head, or shaving the middle and leaving the sides, as most of the Christians do, or shaving the sides and leaving the middle, as many of the foolish do, or shaving the front and leaving the back. Ahmad was asked about shaving the back of the head and he said: This is the action of the Magians, and whoever imitates a people is one of them. Thus it is known that it is not permissible to leave some parts of the hair longer than others.

A person once argued with Ibrahim ibn Adham.
He said: There is no such thing as "barakah", or blessing. 
Ibrahim ibn Adham responded to him,  saying: Do you know dogs and sheep? 
The man said: Yes
Ibn Adham responded: Which of these animals has larger litters?
The man said: A dog can have up to seven puppies, while a ewe can give birth to up to three.
Ibn Adham said: If you look around, which of these two species is larger in number. 
The man said: I see a lot more sheep. 
Ibn Adham replied: But aren't sheep the ones we slaughter and eat, constantly reducing their numbers? 
The layman said: Yes. 
Ibn Adham said: That is barakah. 
The man inquired: But why is that so?  (Why would sheep deserve that barakah over dogs?)
Ibn Adham responded: Sheep sleep early and wake up before Fajr, so they seize the time of Mercy and barakah descends upon them. As for dogs, they stay up barking all night, then when it's close to Fajr, they fall asleep. They miss the time of Mercy, so they don't receive much barakah. 
This discourse makes me wonder, are we depriving ourselves of barakah in our wealth and families with our late nights?

FIRST REMINDER: MISSING JUMUĀH DUE TO LECTURES OR WORK

BismilLah. 
It's important we understand as Muslims that Jumu‘ah prayer is obligatory for the able-bodied Muslim man, and that staying away from it is a grave sin. What is required is to be very keen to attend this prayer regularly, for it is a weekly prayer on a day that is like an Eid for the Muslims, the greatest and best of the days of the week. So it is not permissible to be heedless or negligent about it.
Almost all Scholars who qualify for Issuing Fatwas has said that: 
Jumu‘ah prayer is an individual obligation (fard ‘ayn); it is not permissible to miss it because of working hour or study, and the like. ALLAH, may He be glorified, says 
“And whoever fears ALLAH - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect” 
[at-Talaaq 65:2-3]. From this verse it's clear that we must make our priority to please Allah first before anything else. We cannot choose work and studies in place of missing JUMUĀH Salaat. ALLAH is the only source of halaal sustenance and if we want to meet ALLAH then we must set our priority right in regards to our acts of worship. Truth is mostly bitter but if we've got two choices to obey ALLAH or over HIS creation. It's an individual choice to strive harder to obey ALLAH regardless of the cost.

SECOND REMINDER: MISSING JUMUĀH DUE TO LECTURES OR WORK

BismilLah. 
ALLAH the Almighty GOD says: 
“O, you who believe! When the call for Friday prayer is made, hasten towards the remembrance of Allah (Prayer and Khutba) and LEAVE ALL TRANSACTIONS. This is best for you if you know.” (Surah al-Jumu’ah, V.9). This is a warning and promise from ALLAH so let's strive never to miss jumuat from today. Negotiate with your boss or lecturer to get one hour break on Friday for your Eid. Don't take missing jumuat lightly. 
Abd ALLAH ibn Umar and Abu Hurayra (ALLAH be pleased with them both) narrate that they heard the Messenger of ALLAH (ALLAH bless him & give him peace) say on the planks of his pulpit: “People must cease from abandoning the Friday prayers or ALLAH will seal their hearts and then they will be among the negligent.” (Sahih Muslim, no. 865). This is serious isn't it?
Abu Ja’d al-Dhamri (ALLAH be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of ALLAH (ALLAH bless him & give him peace) said: “Whosoever misses three Jumu’ah prayers by taking the matter lightly, ALLAH will seal his heart.” (Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan Tirmidhi, Sunan Nasa’i, Sunan Ibn Majah and al-Darami).

THIRD REMINDER: MISSING JUMUĀH DUE TO LECTURES OR WORK

BismilLah. 
The importance of the Friday prayer is evident from the mentioned proofs from the first and second reminder. A Muslim should, therefore, never attempt to miss it. To miss even one Jumu’ah prayer without a legally valid excuse is highly sinful, and to miss three is totally unacceptable, with Allah Most High sealing the heart of the transgressor due to which no good enters his heart.
However, missing the Jumu’ah prayer does not entail one leaving Islam, as is the case with all unlawful and sinful acts. According to the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah, a sin does not take one out of the fold of Islam, rather one becomes sinful and life becomes difficult.
Thus, leaving three Jumu’ahs will not be considered disbelief (kufr), in that one will not have to repeat the Shahadah and renew one’s Iman. However, if one rejects the obligation of the Friday prayer or takes the matter lightly in a mocking way, then one will come out of the fold of Islam. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and aid us in our efforts to take all salaat with utmost seriousness it deserves AMIN
